Leslie believes elected officials must be statesman first and members of their political parties second. She will continue to be a voice pushing for wholesale changes in Oklahoma.

“Oklahomans across the state have told me they are utterly disgusted at the divisive way we conduct our business at the State Capitol. Only when we come together will we turn the tide of status quo behavior and face the reality of our situation,” she says.

“This will take leadership without ego and negotiation without intractable lines drawn in the sand. It will take voices of reason in a spirit of unity and purpose.”
